Hi all,
I see there isn't a lot of traffic here, but I'll try anyway. My knowledge
of fonts and usages is minimal, so ... <g>

XP Pro SP2+, system kept fully updated
I have an HP Printer.

I have an HP font: script.fon with a description of "Script (all res).

The font now resides in the windows/fonts folder.

But I cannot get Word to see it. When I tried to install it from the win
font manager, it said it did, and now it says it's already installed if I
try to do it again, so apparently the system knows it's there.

I don't know how many fonts I have installed, but it's a lot less than a
400 number I saw somewhere; likely around 50-75, whatever defaults are, less
some I took out due to visual redundancy.

Any comments, links, assistance?

WORD however can not see it.

TIA

That's by design of Word, explained in
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=163059. The best solution is to find a
similar-looking TrueType font -- the Web is loaded with 'em.

Hmm, thanks for the link; I didn't realize it was THAT long ago I used it!
Thanks, appreciate the response.

Thanks, Tom, I found something there that might work. I've found a few
other possibilities I still have to check out. Boy, unless my search terms
were just out to lunch, the ttf font situation on the 'net is, well, not so
great. There are LOTS of fonts but when you're looking for something
specific, it seems you run into nothing but dead links, phoney links that
dont' have what the page offered, or huge downloads of junk that might or
might not have some actually useful fonts in them. Oh well, that's the way
it is <g>.

Thanks to Jay also, in fact.
