User needs to change the font in a document to Shruti. I've tried both
resetting the font, then type, and select text and apply this font to the
text. I've worked both in his document and in a new blank document. Nothing
happens in either case. Can anyone tell me anything about this font and why
it seems to not work? Thank you.

Shruti supports the Gujarati language and alphabet. It does NOT
contain any roman letters (A-Z, etc.)

What is the font that the user wants to change FROM? Assuming that
it's another font that contains Gujarati glyphs, it's likely that
you'll have to replace the characters one by one - particularly if the
original font doesn't use the same encoding and character positions as
Shruti.

Many fonts exists, such as gujafont.ttf, that simply placed the
gujarati characters into the A-Z positions - converting a document
that used such a font to use a properly coded Unicode font such as
Shruti could be very time consuming and error-prone.
