We've just upgraded a couple of the computers on outr network to
Office 03 (from Office 2000) as well as a couple of machines from
Windows 2000 to XP Pro.

Since doing this a couple of the computers are having difficulty
printing basic Word docs - getting the following error message (the
printer is a HP 5MP).

The error message is -
"This job requires more memory than is avaialblein this printer. Try
one or more of the following, and then print again:
For the output format, choose Optimise For Portability.
In the Device Settings page, make sure the Avaialble Postscript Memory
is accurate.
Reduce the number ofr fonts in the document.
Print the document in parts.

We're all "Optimising For Portablilty" and haven't changed any
printer settings at all!

Can anyone help out with some suggestions?

Experiment with the spooler settings, that you can get to via the further
regions of the printer settings dialogs. Have you checked that 'Available
PostScript memory' is accurate? Check the HP website to make sure you have
the latest driver for the printer.
