When I type something in Word 2003 using Times New Roman font and then I
format the whole text into Wingdings font, of course, it is not readable,
and if I chage the font again into Times New Roman, or another font ( such
as Verdana, Courier New, etc.), it is again readable. But, if I save this
Word doucument using the Wingdings font and open it later (after this file
is saved and closed once), and change the font from Wingdings into Times New
Roman, it can not be read. Can anybodu help me solve this problem?

It's an Unicode/ASCII code/recode problem. See

-Written for Word 2000 but apply to 2003 as well.
-The macro was written for a slightly different situation but serves
here as well.
