This is an issue that might more likely be addressed (and solved) in the
word.printingfonts NG, to which I am cross-posting.

No, the font is installed. It is listed in the menu where it looks fine,
both
at normal and light weights, but in the document it is substituted by a
non-proportionally spaced font (Courier). The formatting toolbar confirms
that I am using the right font but it doesn't display as it should, nor
does
it print properly.
Since I posted the initial question, I realised that both versions of the
font are not displaying, by the way.
Another PC won't let me install the fonts at all and keeps saying they are
'in use', which they aren't, but that's another question for another day.
Many thanks.

If your colleague doesn't have the font installed, then you will not see
it
in the document on his PC. Is that the issue?

I have used a TrueType font in a document which I then opened on my
colleague's PC running Windows Vista and Office 2003. The font has been
substituted although it shows up in the menu correctly.
I installed 'normal' version of the font and a 'light' version but it's
only
the 'light' version that won't display or print.
I have tried removing and reinstalling the font but this hasn't solved
the
problem.
Any help gratefully received, thanks.
